56th Annual Wikwemkoong Cultural Festival

WIKI-Poster 2016
We travel to distant shores this long weekend – across to Wikwemikong Unceded Nation on beautiful Manitoulin Island in northern Ontario! Our Anishnaabeg relations have a huge Pow Wow at Thunderbird Park with many events, competitions, food and friendship – the 56th Cultural Festival!

The locals call it “Wiki” – it is one of the largest Unceded Territories in Canada. Local MC, Allan Manitowabi, is joined by Comedian/Podcaster Ryan McMahon (check out his site Red Man Laughing) to keep everyone entertained and informed as the Traditional Dancers Drummers and Singers bring their best!

Thunderbird Park is located at 18-A Kaboni Road, Wikwemikong, Manitoulin Island, ON. MAP

Join us if you’re able – or visit the Bear’s Den at the Gibraltar Weekend Market; open Sun. as always!
